Album 4/100-KAINA “Next to the Sun”

KAINA’s new album, “It Was a Home” is due out March 4. Since I’ve never listened to anything by her, I figured this was a good time to slot in her debut.

The nine-track album clocks in at just 31 minutes, quickly shifting from one song to the next. At least on a first listening, the overall effect is rushed. Each song has a different vibe from the dreamy and ethereal feel of “House” to the lively…
